Why Startfrom Offers Both Free and Paid Framer Templates

Startfrom offers eight templates. Parley, Marby, and Elias Vent are free. Auria, Pillo, and Mote cost $79 each; Sunbeam and Cohestra cost $99 each as one-time template purchases. You can also choose a bundle, membership, or Full Access plan.

This page replaces our old open-beta explanation. The earlier version was true when the full library was free, but keeping it live after Auria launched would be confusing. Here is the current model, why it exists, and what buyers should expect.

The current Startfrom pricing model

• Parley is free. It is designed for AI products, AI agents, and early-stage SaaS launches.

• Marby is free. It is designed for boutique real estate and premium service businesses.

• Auria costs $79 as a one-time purchase. It is designed for wellness and self-care startups.

• Elias Vent is free. It is an editorial portfolio for product, motion, and brand designers.

• Sunbeam costs $99 as a one-time purchase. It is designed for B2B SaaS and service-business software.

• Cohestra costs $99 as a one-time purchase. It includes FrameAuth membership for courses and academies; FrameAuth requires a separate subscription.

• Pillo costs $79 as a one-time purchase. It is designed for mobile app launches.

• Mote costs $79 as a one-time purchase. It is designed for hardware and physical-product pre-orders.

Why Parley, Marby, and Elias Vent are free

Free templates make the Startfrom library useful before it becomes large. They let founders inspect our page structure, breakpoints, CMS setup, and component systems without turning the first visit into a purchasing decision.

They also create better feedback. A template used in real launches reveals where the content model is too rigid, which sections disappear first, which breakpoint needs more control, and where instructions are unclear. That knowledge improves later releases.

Parley, Marby, and Elias Vent are complete, editable projects with responsive layouts. Choose the one whose page structure fits your business or portfolio.

Why specialist templates are paid

Auria solves a narrower and more demanding launch problem. Wellness and self-care startups must explain a complex service, establish credibility, introduce support, handle pricing questions, and guide visitors toward an assessment without making the website feel cold or vague.

That required a deeper category-specific structure: eight responsive pages, a full homepage journey, program and process pages, pricing and FAQ patterns, reusable systems, and a custom multi-step assessment experience with validation and confirmation states.

The paid prices support the additional design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance involved in specialist releases. Auria focuses on a guided wellness and weight-care journey; Sunbeam provides a broader B2B SaaS page and CMS system. Paid releases also help us continue producing free templates without forcing every release into the same business model.

What the free templates include

Membership and payments require a separate FrameAuth subscription; hosted video is not included.

What happens after you duplicate a free template

When you duplicate Parley, Marby, or Elias Vent, the project is added to your Framer workspace. Check the terms attached to your download or purchase and the Framer plan requirements for the site you intend to publish.

For current Startfrom purchases, a template on its own covers one personal or client website. The Figma + Framer + Prompt bundle and all-access plans cover unlimited websites under the current license terms. Orders placed before September 3, 2026 keep the terms they were sold under.

How to choose between free and paid

Choose a free template when its business model, content flow, and visual character already match the launch. Choose a paid template when it saves meaningful category-specific design and implementation work. Start with the visitor’s questions and the action the site must support, then choose the closest structural match.

A mixed library is the sustainable model

Free releases give more founders a useful starting point. Paid specialist releases fund deeper work and future templates. Together, they let Startfrom stay accessible without pretending every product requires the same investment.
